For learning Kirundi language and dance for children (Lausanne), computer equipment and a classroom/dance room for one afternoon (Sunday) a month are urgently needed.
- Target audience: Children up to 16 (Lausanne)
- When will your project be rolled out? 01.01.2024
- Budget 5000 CHF
Your project in detail
The Abahizi association enables children who wish to learn the language (Kirundi) and Burundian dance to meet, once a month in Lausanne. The children are accompanied by their parents, who also come (or not) for Burundian dance lessons. The children's group has grown and needs:
1) A hall At present, the association rents a single room. The 2 groups share the room for one afternoon a month. This is not efficient for the children's group, which needs to devote part of the afternoon to learning Kirundi and the other part to learning dance. Request: rent a second room for the children's group.
2) Computer equipment At present, the association has no computer equipment to facilitate the Kirundi course.
Request: purchase computer equipment (laptop, portable printer, USB keys (for homework). This request is to improve learning comfort and motivation for young people. This activity has been running for 27 years, but has often been halted for lack of funds. The number of children has increased in recent years
